The EN 1090 rules are European standards regulating the manufacture and assembly of steel and aluminium structures and are recognised by the construction products regulation and are necessary for the manufacture and delivery of structural products.
- It is used to certify the companies that carry out welding operations in respect of “Quality” of the welds produced. ISO 3834 acquired a prominent role in Italy after that the DM 14 January 2008 made it mandatory. In fact, paragraph 11.3.4.5 of the decree states: “in relation to the type of manufactured products made by welded joints, the manufacturer must be certified in accordance with UNI EN ISO 38342006 parts 2 and 4…”.
